First, let me say that we have had several Catit fountains, and we have loved all of them. Now that they have stainless steel options, we are using those exclusively as they are better for our lifestyle and just look super cool.  The cat AND the dog vastly prefer drinking out of a fountain than out of standing water, so these tools have really improved their overall health (and since our cat, Tormund, has a chronic urinary issue, it's critical that he's got a drinking source he will use regularly).
